2 More Milestones

The last couple of weeks have been BIG weeks for Gabe! I already told you that he's a boy on the move. But did I tell you that on September 25th when Gabe was out to breakfast with his Mama and his Megan he decided to finally give in to the pressure and coaxing and drank from his sippy cup. While he still refuses to drink milk out of the sippy, he loves his water now. Do you have any idea what a big deal this is?

And the second big milestone is that Gabe slept in his big boy bed Saturday, October 2nd!

You may ask why at 13 months would you put Gabriel in a toddler bed? And I will tell you. For Gabe's whole 13 months he has hated his crib. His dislike varied in its intensity but was always there and recently he absolutely refused to sleep in it. And by refused I mean cling to us as we entered his room in fear he was going to be put in his crib to complete hysteria if we laid him down and walked out of the room. This mama's heart couldn't handle it and neither could Matt's. So we continued to co-sleep, which truly wasn't a big deal to us. But then Gabe began squirming and taking up a good portion of our bed; there just wasn't enough room for 3 of us and contrary to Gabe's opinion it wasn't gong to be me!

So we decided to try something new... a toddler bed and Gabe loves it! While he has yet to spend a whole night in his new bed he is at least willing to sleep in it for awhile and play in it when he's awake. That is a huge improvement!!!

Gabe is turning into quite the big boy and we couldn't be prouder!
