Better Late than Never

The end of August through the Fall is fair and festival season in the great state of Ohio. This year Gabe went to them all. The Valley City Street Fair started it off and then came the Lorain County Fair. And we went twice to the Lorain County Fair. First with Gabe's Nonny and cousins Caleb, Ethan, Jake and Sam.

The big boys in the spinning barrels.

Sam and Jake petting pygmy goats! They were so little and cute, I'm fairly sure they'd look perfect in my back yard! And then I could milk them and make goats milk soap!!

See, didn't I tell you they were darling?

And then the next day we went to the fair the next day with Daddy and our Life Group. And we found the tractors! You would have thought that Gabe won the jackpot by how big his smile was when he was able to sit on one!

And then came the Apple Festival!! Now this is a small fair in the middle of our downtown. And although it's called an "Apple" festival there was only one stand selling apple related items; apples, cider, caramel apples. And they did cider press demonstrations! Fun stuff, but not too many apple items.

This was Gabe's second Apple Festival and while he slept the whole time last year, he was up and ready to party this year. This year we expanded our entourage from us, Auntie Sondra and Carl and added Gabe's Megan and Steve. Deep fried goodness was enjoyed by all! And by all, I mean Gabe too. Our little Gaby baby indulged in a little bit of yummy funnel cake.

And then Daddy gave Gabriel a little extra goodness when he shared his custard with him. And Gabe was in sugar-high heaven.

Gabe's first fried food and first ice cream all on the same night... it's no wonder he was a little hyped up at bed time [SMILE]
I love festivals; the people, the fried food and the fun with family and friends!
Next up - Gabe's 1st Fall Festival!
