One month from today (November 1) we will be hosting an adoption auction right here at Our Journey Home. We have quite a few goodies to bid on and all of the proceeds go towards our adoption expenses. Obviously.
A little teaser of what we have thus far: items from some of my favorite etsy shops, Coach handbags, a handmade quilt, jewelry... and more!
We are still looking for more donations so if you know anyone who makes things, owns a business or would like to donate something, please contact us here on the blog or at my email address (firstname.lastname@example.org). We want this auction to be fabulous and it will be right in time for Christmas shopping. Any help is greatly appreciated.
In other news, today is the 1st day of October. Usually I'm wearing jeans, long sleeve t-shirts and hoodies this time of year. However, yesterday I wore a tank top and capri's because it was 94. But the DJ on the radio did say that it was beginning to feel like fall. Seriously, buddy? 90 degrees and it feels like fall? I guess it is better than it being 104. Today it's only supposed to be in the high 80's so jeans and hoodies here we come. Or not.
I wonder what Texans will think when it's 50. We'll be in sweatshirts and jackets but I imagine we'll be seeing warm winter jackets and boots.
